Pampa Almirón es una localidad ubicada en el centro este de la provincia del Chaco, en el departamento Libertador General San Martín.
Las principales vías de acceso son las rutas provinciales 47 y 48. La primera la comunica al sur con La Eduvigis, y al norte con la Ruta Provincial 33. La Ruta 48 la comunica al oeste con la Ruta Provincial 90, y al este también con la Ruta Provincial 33.
La localidad fue fundada oficialmente el 16 de septiembre de 1945, día en que se instala la primera delegación municipal. El pueblo contaba ya con años de protagonismo en esta parte del Chaco, cuando llegaban a la zona familias desde distintos puntos del país atraídas por la calidad de la tierra, para transformarla en una importante colonia agrícola ganadera.
Su nombre recuerda al primer poblador de la zona, Ángel Esteban Almirón, quien fue un ganadero analfabeto con ansias de progreso. Su trato amable, generosidad y solidaridad son sin duda el principal legado a las siguientes generaciones, ya que están presentes hoy en los pobladores del lugar.
